Built in 1720 it is reputed that Dick Turpin once frequented the premises. There are lovely walks in this picturesque valley by the river Hamps with an abundance of wildlife.
Alton Towers is but a short drive away. Pubs and restaurants abound the area for your dining experience.
The Manifold Valley home of Thors cave which provided the backdrop in the film "the Lair of the white worm", provides cycling, walking and many other activities. Follow from Waterhouses to ilam for a fantastic day out.
The Roaches on the A523 Buxton road. A picturesque rock outcrop delighting many with unusual rock formations, rock climbing and great walks. Check out the winking man rock and the house built into the rock face.
